My name is Mamta, and for a long time, I was living under the weight of fear and helplessness. My health was deteriorating, and with no financial means to afford quality treatment, every day felt like a silent battle—with no end in sight. My family depends on me, and watching them worry while I suffered broke my heart. We had no idea where to turn, no access to proper care, and no one to guide us. I felt lost, stuck in a situation where hope seemed to be slipping away. But then, something changed. One day, a volunteer from Uplift Live Foundation visited our community. They spoke about the Ayushman Bharat scheme, something I had heard of but never imagined could apply to me. That volunteer didn’t just offer information—they offered their time, their compassion, and their full support. They helped me apply for the Ayushman Card, step by step, with patience and care. Because of that single act of kindness, I was able to move to a private hospital, where I received the treatment I so desperately needed. The doctors, the facilities—everything was beyond what I had ever experienced. But more than that, I finally felt seen, valued, and cared for. Today, I am recovering. I am stronger. And more importantly, I have hope not just for myself, but for my family’s future.
